  25. ParNet is a public domain parallel network system. It works pretty well, 
  26. altho not nearly as fast as an ethernet network.  However, the price 
  27. makes it very attractive.  I use it alot with a 1200 connected to my 
  28. 4000.  I can work on texture maps and such and send over to the 4000 for 
  29. rendering on my objects. (You could just read them from the 1200 during 
  30. redndering too, altho I wouldn't suggest it due to speed limtiations)

  32. You'll find it on most AmiNet Locations and on the NewTek BBS.  Easy to 
  33. setup but the cable takes a little time to build. (I bought 2 cheap 12 
  34. foot parallel cables and cut off the centronics end, wired & soldered the 
  35. correct wires and VIOLA! a 23 foot ParNet cable!
